Florida State Government

This page lists a number of links, mostly to the Florida State Government. This page is maintained as a service of the UFF to its members, and to fellow members of the Florida Education Association.

This site was inspired by the UFF/UCF site on Contacting Your Legislators. That site is currently maintaining a (long) list of outstanding proposed legislation.

Caveat. While this site provides information that state employees could use to contact their representatives, it is inappropriate for state employees to use state property --- office machines, stationary, etc. --- to lobby their representatives for personal gain (that includes legislation, policies, and executive actions affecting salaries, work conditions, bargaining, grievances, etc). Also, remember that there are many times when one would want to contact representatives as state employees to provide representatives, as fellow public servants with information within one's own professional sphere so that they can do their job more effectively. It is up to the state employee to be clear about the distinction.
